The year 2310. The human race has expanded beyond the limit of its small solar system and has travelled to many new systems and met many new races. The Starlines have been established between the major star systems. Starlines, the motorways of space. This is a time where the heroes of Starline Patrol protect the Starlines. This is not a story about the glamorous end of space travel. Of heroes, of Starline Patrol. No, this is the real end where people struggle to carry cargo and passengers along the starlines on spaceships like the Buccaneer. This latest trip is not without incident. The Buccaneer has recently left space dock. Several people joined the ship at its last port of call but now one of them is missing.

Brief biographies of the crew and passengers of the Buccaneer

Major Roger Leering
A senior Starline officer who had come aboard the Buccaneer to inspect the ship and crew. He must have discovered something, but he's not telling as he is now missing.

Richard Abbey
Captain of the Buccaneer. After a number of deadend jobs on Earth he applied to the Space Federation. He has risen through the ranks to become Captain of this starship

Caviller
The Second in command. An alien from planet Goth who was given the opportunity to join the Space Federation. She jumped at the chance to explore space,

Gaby Havering
The communications officer of the Buccaneer. At space academy, she showed an aptitude for communications. She has risen quickly through the ranks to become Chief Communications Officer.

Germima Drake
The newly appointed ships doctor. A straight "A" student at medical school who joins the Buccaneer after a number of prestigious appointments.

William Dersbotham
The chief engineer who knows every inch of the ship like the back of his hand. He has been flying spaceships for as long as anyone can remember. People say that he know everything there is to know about spaceship construction

Calum Mitty
The very keen and enthusiastic second engineer.

Vivian Acity
The mysterious security officer who recently joind the ship. He is responsible for the safety of the crew, the cargo and the passengers.
